Tribhuvan Pati Ki Dekh Udarata Bhajan Lyrics -

Sharing one of the most emotional and profound bhajans depicting the divine friendship of Lord Krishna and Sudama. This bhajan, titled "Tribhuvan Pati Ki Dekh Udarata" (Look at the Generosity of the Lord of the Three Worlds), beautifully describes the moment Krishna eats the humble beaten rice (Tandul) brought by Sudama.

It illustrates how the Supreme Lord, hungry only for love, accepts a small offering with immense joy and, in return, gifts Sudama the sovereignty of the three worlds, until Goddess Lakshmi herself has to intervene.

Listen to this divine rendition and read the lyrics below.

Hindi Lyrics (हिंदी में भजन)

English Transliteration (Roman Hindi)

Tribhuvan pati ki dekh udaarta, Teeno bhavan tharraane lage hai. Haath mein chaawal lete hi, sab mein dar bhayo jaat, Jaane ab kis lok ki sampati hoye samaapt. Sab mein dar bhayo jaat.

Har daane ka mol agar dene lage Bhagwan, Rah jayega srishti mein bas ek hi dhanwaan. Bas ek hi dhanwaan.

Prem ke bhookhe, prem ke tandul, Prem ke bhaav se khaane lage hai. Prem ke bhookhe, prem ke tandul, Prem ke bhaav se khaane lage hai.

Tandul ke daano mein, Deen duniya ka daaridrya chabaane lage hai. Tandul ke daano mein, Deen duniya ka daaridrya chabaane lage hai.

Ek ek mutthi mein ek ek lok, Ek ek mutthi mein ek ek lok, Sudama ke bhaagya mein jaane lage hai.

Tribhuvan pati ki dekh udaarta, Teeno bhavan tharraane lage hai.

Pehli mutthi dete hi Prabhu ne, Swarg Sudama ke naam kiya hai.

Teesri mutthi mein dene lage hai, Teesri mutthi mein dene lage hai jo Vaikunth, To Lakshmi ne rok liya hai. Teesri mutthi mein dene lage hai jo Vaikunth, To Lakshmi ne rok liya hai.

(Socha) Apna niwas bhi daan mein de raha hai, Kaisa daani ye mera piya hai. Apna niwas bhi daan mein de raha hai, Kaisa daani ye mera piya hai.

English Meaning / Translation

Witnessing the generosity of the Lord of the three worlds (Krishna), all three realms began to tremble. As soon as He took the rice in His hands, fear spread everywhere; Who knows whose wealth in which world will be finished today (because He gives so much in return).

If God started paying the true price for every grain, Only one wealthy person (God Himself) would remain in the entire creation.

Hungry for love, He started eating the rice (tandul) of love, with the sentiment of love.

In those grains of rice, He started chewing away the poverty of the wretched world.

With every handful eaten, one entire realm started going into Sudama's destiny.

Witnessing the generosity of the Lord of the three worlds, all three realms began to tremble.

With the first handful eaten, the Lord gifted Heaven to Sudama. With the second handful, He handed over the luxury of the Earthly realm to the Brahmin (Sudama).

When He started eating the third handful to give away Vaikuntha (His own divine abode), Goddess Lakshmi stopped Him.

(She thought) He is giving away even His own residence in charity; what kind of a generous donor my beloved husband is!
